Helping you and your dog live a better life together!
Are you looking for a force-free, ethical dog trainer? If your puppy or dog is displaying undesirable behaviours, feels anxious in certain situations or simply needs some basic training, I would be happy to help. I can even help you develop your dog handling skills to become a better and more confident dog guardian.
Welcome to the Dog Coach, Glasgow! Before employing anyone to help coach your dog, you should know a little bit about that person. I began working with dogs and studying their behaviour in 2007. I am a qualified Guide Dog Trainer, Autism Assistance Dog Trainer, Separation Anxiety Pro, with diplomas in Canine Behaviourism and Canine Psychology. I continue to upskill and research the latest science backed, ethical coaching methods to ensure that my knowledge is up to date in this fast-evolving industry. There are many myths about dog training, some suggesting that you must lead with a heavy hand, dominate your dog, and show him who is boss. Please do not do that! You may temporarily stop a behaviour, but you will also end up with a frightened dog who does not trust you. Science has proved many times that dogs learn much more efficiently when we use kind, positive methods. So, I use positive, fear-free coaching and encourage the use of lots of praise, treats, toys, and cuddles. Understanding dogs requires empathy, and I have empathy for both your dog and you. I understand that raising a dog can be challenging and I can offer practical advice on how to make both your lives more enjoyable. During coaching sessions, I will help you understand why your dog behaves the way he or she does and then create a tailormade, straight forward coaching plan. I offer 1-2-1 training sessions in your home or outdoor environments. If you are not able to meet, I can offer advice remotely. If you have any concerns about your dog’s behaviour or any training issues, please message me below. I look forward to hearing from you!
